2024 Dive Coach Staff

Imre Lengyel, Head Coach                                                                                                                            
Coach Imre Lengyel is an experienced elite level coach and high performance manager with a demonstrated history of working and con tributing in the live entertainment, recreational and competitive sport industries.

He is a two-time Olympian and NCAA Champion with European and World titles in the sport of springboard and platform diving. Coach Imre possesses unique acrobatic and artistic management experience from more than a decade-long performing, coaching and managing career with Cirque du Soleil. At Cirque du Soleil he toured internationally and developed strong hands-on experience in the creation and operation of large-scale theatrical productions.

Coach Imre is a result oriented professional with a Psychology / Advertising degree from the University of Miami and has extensive  knowledge in teaching, instructing and educating children in a diverse range of different disciplines.  He is currently a National Team (Junior Olympic and National Development Program) diving coach at the Montgomery Dive Club and the Alexandria Dive Club.
 
 
 
 
Sydney Norris, Assistant Coach
 
Sydney is a rising junior studying Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University. Throughout high school, Sydney dove at the national level for both Alexandria Dive Club and Montgomery Dive Club. Sydney was also a four time varsity level diver for Winston Churchill High School where she was named Most Outstanding Female Diver for two consecutive years. She continually earned a top 20 spot at the Metropolitan Championships through her high school career, and qualified for the MPSSAA Maryland Swimming and Diving Championship meet in 2020. Sydney started her diving career at Seven Locks when she was five years old, and continued to dive for Seven Locks until she was 18. This is Sydney's 7th year in a coaching capacity at Seven Locks and her fourth as Assistant Coach.
